With its 12 Counsellors elected by a proportional mixed majoritarian system is headed by the Mayor who represents the Legal, Administartive and Executive Power of the Italian Republic. The last Town Board and Mayor’s elections were held last on May 13, 2001, two lists were competing the "UNITI per SEBORGA" headed by the actual Mayor FRANCO FOGLIARINI and the list "NUEVO SEBORGA" headed by GUIDO CARBONE . After final count down the list " UNITI PER SEBORGA" had 8 elected members and the Mayorship and the list " NUEVO SEBORGA" 4 elected members. Worth mentioning that the list "UNITI PER SEBORGA "was endorsed by the Spiritual Power of the "Antico Principato di Seborga", the " Prince Giorgio Ier."
LIST OF THE ELECTED MEMBERS OF "UNITI PER SEBORGA" MAYOR FRANCO FOGLIARINI
The Spiritual and Temporal Power For Centuries, the descendants from the Cruisades - the Seborgheses - had the privilege to elect their Prince, with the " Bene Placito" of the Pope. Since the XI Century they did so most of the time in a regular manner. The last Prince to be Elected was GIORGIO CARBONE, who became Giorgio Ier. of Seborga, by popular votes and by the Grace of God, and still reign on the Spirituality of the Seborghese and visitors alike ( see History).
The wonderful job done by the Prince and his Team of "Ministers" and "Knights of St. Bernards" have kept alive the tradition of the Old Principality of Seborga. For more information contact : principato@principato-di-seborga.net LIST OF THE PRIEURS To be a "Prieur" you need to have three generations of Seborghese living in Seborga and the middle Generation is the "Prieur". So You need to have your father or mother alive and living in Seborga, a son or daughter also living in Seborga and obviously yourself living in Seborga to become a "Prieur". If by a will of God, your parents passed away, you will not be a Prieur anymore and if your son or daughter do not have children they cannot become Prieur either. It seems a complicated systems but it was only designed by the Older to assure that the local inhabitants will not move away from Seborga. Here after is a List of the actual Prieurs in June 2001:
